Easy Peasy DIY Xmas Gift #1
So here is to the new amazing trend of DIY presents! It makes me so happy that people are slowly starting to realize how important it is that we all start saving everything from energy through food leftovers to all kinds of (natural) resources. Awareness is important! I have been preparing hand-made Christmas presents for my friends and family for years so now it’s the time to share those ideas with you. They are easy, relatively quick and have the great added value of sentimentality - showing how much you care for the person by creating a present that makes sense to them and will not just gather dust on the shelf. 1st DIY present idea follows up…
Photo Calendar for 2012
What you need for DIY Xmas Gift #1:
- Printed photos with/of the person you are making the calendar for
- A calendar with empty spaces around the printed days of the month
- Scissors
- Tape
- Chocolate to sweeten up you crafty winter day

All you need to do - stick the pictures on the blank sheets of every month with the tape and enjoy your chocolate in the meantime :) Naturally, you could go all crazy and creative with the calendar, put funny pictures inside, draw around the edges, write notes and messages on the pictures, put stickers for the days marking important holidays or anniversaries. You could even print out the days of the month yourself in case you cannot find a suitable “empty” calendar or use one that already has floral/landscape/etc. motives as a background.
This one I made for my grandma so I had to keep it simple and not too confusing :P I enjoyed doing it so much though, knowing that she would really appreciate it :) The result:
