WINTER Maybe it’s because I am a December child or because snow has some sort of a purifying power or because the holidays bring along cheer, beauty, nice food, cosy feelings, and family moments but winter has always been my favourite season of the year. I like its colours of green, red and white. I like the chilly, brisk wind on my cheeks in the morning on my way to work. I like reading my books behind closed windows watching the storm raging outside. I like the smell of cinnamon and ginger in holiday cakes. I like people’s curiosity, joy and thrill when opening long awaited presents underneath the Christmas tree. It all brings my poetic, romantic, thoughtful and cheerful self out. It is a wonderful time of the year! :)
